EP19: Cultivating Self-Love with Anthony Parham

from Mental Magic · host Christina Fennell

In this episode we introduce Anthony Parham, a devoted father, brother, son, friend and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, as well as the founder of Circle of Life Therapies. We discuss the importance of developing and cultivating self-love, not only within ourselves, but within the next generation. Anthony opens up about some of his early struggles of discovering his inherent worthiness while experiencing the impact of generational curses that have plagued our BIPOC communities. He goes on to discuss the intellectual and emotional awakenings that helped him break through the barricades of negative self-talk to enable him to discover how instrumental it is to foster self-love within our lives. Throughout the episode, he also elaborates on the brilliant ways that he is teaching his sons  to hold space for themselves and one another as they navigate their own journeys of discovering who they are in this wild world that we find ourselves in together. So please enjoy this offering of grace and compassion for ourselves and the generations to follow.
