EP32 When Medication Isn't Enough... Overcoming Brain Surgery | Meg Foreman

I met Meg Foreman in the dog park...  where all good friends meet.  One day she went back home for a 'holiday'.  She was gone quite a while, in fact.  Returning a couple of months later yet, little did I know Meg had taken off for brain surgery.  Yet, little did I know Meg had digested the words of Dr Charlie Teo that told her quite clearly that this surgery was high risk and if he ran his surgical knife a mm off course inside her skull then she would quite simply 'bleed out on the table and die'. Meg left for her supposed holiday (or so I thought) with a contingency plan in place... in case that happened.  But after 7 years of misdiagnosis and countless, often useless medication it was a reward that made that 'risk' pale in comparison. What I love about this chat is how even I, right now as we sit recording this, didn't really know how serious, how recent, how confronting and how challenging her recovery was.
