Ep7: Wild Safari Stories (Part 1 - Kenya!)

from These Corners of the World Travel Podcast · host kellyobrien

A few years ago, I spent an amazing month travelling between Kenya and Tanzania. A large part of that time was spent on safari. Here's the full safari itinerary: Nairobi - Great Rift Valley viewpoint - Narok - Masai Mara National Reserve - Lake Nakuru - Amboseli National Park - Namanga - Arusha - Tarangire National Park - Hell's Gate National Park - Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro Crater - Olduvai Gorge - Serengeti National Park - Lake Manyara - Arusha - Kilimanjaro - Nairobi  The safari was organised by Erick from Ewamann's Safaris, and cost me a total of $1,720.  In this podcast (which is one of two continuing podcasts!) I talk about the Kenyan part of the trip, from Nairobi to Amboseli. As expected, it includes a few wildlife encounters (some nice, some not so nice!) including a cheetah hunt, an angry elephant, an aggressive rhino, a black mamba bite, vulture drama, and two beefing antelope.    I'm your host Kelly O'Brien, and this is These Corners of the World.
