EP8: How To Reduce Holiday Stress on Your Relationships With Marie-Elizabeth Mali

from Relationship Alchemy · host Marie-Elizabeth Mali

It's the season of love and giving. But it's also a season when our stress tends to affect how we relate to one another. When we get stressed out, we default into automated and unconscious patterns that don't generally serve us.  In this episode, I'm sharing a simple 3-step process to help you avoid going into those default patterns and approach the holidays differently this year. You'll learn how to hack your mind in a new way so you can relate and stay more loving and connected with your loved ones through the season.  Key points covered in this episode: ✔️ Learn to keep your peace and become stress-free by following these three steps: First, NOTICE what it is. Stop and observe the tension that you are feeling. Second, IDENTIFY it. How are you being affected by this stress? What are your emotions and thoughts?  Third, DISRUPT the pattern by tending to yourself. This may look like taking a bath, having a cup of tea, taking three breaths, walking around the block, dancing to your favorite song, calling a friend, meditating — do whatever feels accessible and supportive to you in the moment.  ✔️ The last and best step is to do this is to enroll your partner or spouse to support you in being accountable and help you in your resolve. Pay attention to each of your states and help each other manage mental and emotional distress, so you can both stay positive throughout the season. ————————————————————————————— ★★★ About Marie-Elizabeth Mali ★★★ Marie-Elizabeth is the founder of Relationship Alchemy, where she helps women leaders create loving and nourishing intimate relationships that support their work in the world. ★ FREE RESOURCE ★ 3 Secrets To Having More Love and Connection In Your Relationships: http://relationshipalchemy.con/gift ★ RELATIONSHIP ALCHEMY FREE FACEBOOK GROUP (FOR WOMEN) ★ Join for more tips, Q&A, connection, and community: https://facebook.com/groups/relationshipalchemyfree ★ COACHING ★ Want to work with Marie-Elizabeth to have a relationship and life that truly lights you up?
