Secara umum, sejak kecil anak-anak Indonesia sudah diajarkan mengeja agar kelak dapat membaca. Sementara angka buta huruf sudah semakin kecil, namun nampaknya masih banyak orang yang tidak suka membaca buku. Jika kita sepakat bahwa membaca buku itu baik dan perlu, lantas mengapa membaca masih kurang disukai? Dalam episode perdana ini, Barry dan Emil bercerita tentang pengalaman pertama mereka bersama buku dan bagaimana hal itu mempengaruhi cara pendang mereka berdua tentang membaca.
