Episode 1 - Mike Galt: Talent Buyer/Music Promoter

from Sound Leader · host Sophie Doherty

Sound Leader Episode 1 welcomes Mike Galt whose youth was spent going to back yard gigs watching No Doubt and Sublime before they were household names. He got his first job selling merchandise for local ska and punk bands in San Diego and eventually went on tour with Blink-182 and a handful of other bands you have probably listened to and enjoyed, which ignited his career and passion for all things on the live side of the business. In 2013 he left his time and touring days behind him in Los Angeles and moved to Dubai and established and grew the Middle East touring circuit on behalf of Live Nation Entertainment and later expanded this to Asia. His work has created a wider touring route for artists wanting to perform and connect with their global fanbase in the East, resulting in many successful tours. Mike is also a proud father to 2 year old Felix, his wife Nathalie and they’re currently living in London.

Song Against Songs, The by G. K. Chesterton (1874 - 1936) LibriVox LibriVox volunteers bring you 9 recordings of The Song Against Songs by G. K. Chesterton. This was the Fortnightly Poetry project for October 16, 2011.Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighing around 21 stone (130 kg; 290 lb). His girth gave rise to a famous anecdote. During World War I a lady in London asked why he was not 'out at the Front'; he replied, 'If you go round to the side, you will see that I am.' On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw: "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England". Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you have caused it". P. G. Wodehouse once described a very loud crash as "a sound like Chesterton falling onto a sheet of tin."( Summary from Wikipedia ) Spanish with Levi Levi Flint 🎙️ Welcome to Spanish with Levi — formerly Mexican Fluency.I’m Levi — a gringo with a Master’s in Teaching Spanish — and I’m here to help you understand and sound more Mexican when you speak.Alongside my Mexican wife, Renata, I share practical tips, immersive stories, and real conversations to help you build fluency and speak with confidence.📅 New episodes every week:• Tuesdays: Smarter ways to study Spanish• Thursdays: Immersive content — stories, scene breakdowns, and interviewsExplore my courses, blog, and more at SpanishWithLevi.com📱 Follow me on social: @SpanishWithLevi Rethinking Youth Ministry | A podcast for youth ministry leaders, pastors, volunteers, and anyone who cares about students OrangeStudents.com The Rethinking Youth Ministry Podcast is for youth ministry leaders, pastors, volunteers, workers, and anyone who cares about middle school and high school students.
