Guidance for Creating a Bubble Around OneselfA note for the listener:I am writing this note just prior to publishing. There were a few things I’d like to address- even though I'm choosing to publish it just the same. I want to be really clear that this podcast is not going to be about Buddhism, nor am I someone who identifies as a Buddhist - though obviously I don’t dis-identify with it as I live many aspects and resonate with many practices and elements of it. What I hint at, and will be speaking to in the near future, is my experience of incremental “bleed through”, if you will (my term), from what some might consider a past life- and what I consider more of an adjacent life. And so there’s a continued influence in what I do, what I'm drawn to, but it’s stripped from most if not all dogma, to it's working components. I also want to point out, that I casually say “Tibetan Buddhism” a number of times in the episode, as if it’s one thing. There are many different schools, and many many different lineages each with its own practices and emphases, and some incorporate elements that others would prefer never to touch nor consider. But for the purposes here, as well as my personal usage, the Vajrayana tradition, and more so too, the Tantras, are mainly what I’m referring to when I was casually saying Tibetan Buddhism. Part of the reason for this, is that I’m used to speaking with those who have little to no knowledge or experience with these traditions, and I’ve gotten used to simplifying my descriptions- which may actually serve here at times. Vajrayana, ond what I know of it, is considered a more direct path, can be distilled down to) a claiming of the identity of that which you already are -in truth (my words).  Dzogchen, another aspect which I mentioned, is probably best known for depictions of the rainbow body… a practice of transforming the body into pure light, and of consciously, exiting the body at the time of the practitioner’s will. This is a practice, which is also existing in the Hindu tantras as well as magical Kabbalistic practices.  I also want to point out that I was freely speaking, off the cuff- no notes, no bullet points, no prep- just sharing stories and memories, many of which have never been shared before, let alone publicly. So there was an intimacy shared, which is part of the energy and space I want to create with you. With that, I hope you enjoy/ enjoyed the episode, and were able to feel the energy of the intention from which is was created.
