Hello and welcome to the final episode of speakeasy’s initial series! In this episode, we’re looking at tournaments/competitions/whatever your word for it is. We’re looking specifically at what they are, where to find them, the scoring system, and other key things to note for when you attend your first comp. This is mostly geared towards what it’s like to be in an in-person comp, but a lot of this is also relevant to online comps! If you’re looking for the cheat sheet, it’s still the same steps. Head to linktr.ee/speakeasydebate, hit the first link to find the blog post for this episode, and you’ll find them there. On your way, you’ll also find the YouTube version of this podcast, if you want to watch Josef annotate the cheat sheet too. Despite speakeasy the podcast ending (for now), we are looking to do some other series’ in the future, so be sure to let us know what episodes you might want. You can do that via Twitter (@speakeasydebate) or via any platform on our “Where to Find Us” page on our website. Speakeasy’s Twitter will also remain active, especially when it comes to posting debating motions!
