Episode Description
In this episode, Farrah, age eight, shares a warm and honest snapshot of her life between Jordan and Dublin. She talks about family, home, and the small moments that matter most to her.
Farrah speaks about celebrating her dad’s birthday, spending time with her sister, and enjoying laughs and games together. She describes her close bond with her younger brother, including the realities of living with autism. Her words show both care and patience, as she explains how much she enjoys playing with him, even when things feel challenging.
The conversation also touches on everyday experiences children navigate, from seeing cousins get hurt to asking questions and making sense of what happens around them. Throughout, Farrah returns to what matters most to her: love, connection, and being close to her family.
This episode captures a child’s perspective in its simplest form. It shows how children express care through small actions, how they understand difference, and how strongly they value belonging and relationships.

This project is supported through the Daphne-CHILD programme, a European initiative led by Eurochild and Terre des Hommes and funded by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme. The programme supports grassroots organisations across nine European countries that work to prevent violence against children, while ensuring that children themselves participate in shaping solutions.
The campaign will culminate in an advocacy seminar on 15 May 2026 in Dublin, bringing together educators, policymakers, youth organisations and child protection professionals to discuss the key messages emerging from the project and explore how children’s perspectives can better inform policy and practice.
