Most of America knows Andy Huggins from his standout appearance on America’s Got Talent in 2018. We all gasped a little when Howie Mandell recognized him from their days starting out together at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. All of Houston comedy looked on as one of their own took center stage on one of the nation’s largest talent competitions.What most people don’t realize about Andy is just how married he is to stand up comedy. He’s the elder statesman of the Houston scene. At 72 years old, he is at a different mic or show 3-5 nights a week. His legal pad never leaves his side. He talks theory with new comedians and old.
