I am a dedicated mother, entrepreneur and chef. As a child growing up in Cameroon, I ate only the freshest organic foods from my family’s gardens and local markets. Following my son’s birth in 2004, I struggled to find meals for my young son, Jared-Zane, which were equally delicious and nutritious. Determined, I took to my kitchen to create meals packed with healthy organic ingredients—and nothing else. Soon I began filling casual orders for friends and—in 2006— Yummy Spoonfuls® was born. I left my six figure job as an IT executive and started the company. My baby food products soon gained a loyal celebrity following while winning over babies across the country through a few regional retailers and a national direct ship program. In 2014, I partnered with fellow mom and entrepreneur, Camila Alves, to expand Yummy Spoonfuls® and fulfill our collective vision of providing fresh, organic foods to babies and tots; what a blessing that continues to be. Today, I am a sought-after baby food expert who has appeared on CNN, Fox Business News, Essence.com, CBS, Style Network, People.com and more. I serve as the founder and Chief Yummy Officer for Yummy Spoonfuls®. Along with my most important roles of wife and mother, I fill my time outside of the kitchen conducting media engagements and healthy eating workshops across the country.
