This is part 4 of a 5-part series on What It Takes to succeed as a black lawyer, so if you haven't done so already, be sure to watch parts 1-3 in previous videos. So let's start by acknowledging the reality: While some of you may have awareness of your emotions and would willingly talk about them, the nature of being a lawyer and working in a fast paced, competitive, time-pressured environment means that the majority of you simply don't have time to think about your emotions on a day to day basis, let alone feel them and have authority over them.
