As lead singer James Dean Bradfield prepared to fly to America to do a press tour, the band's lyricist and rhythm guitarist, Richey Edwards, checked out of their hotel to never be seen by the band or his family again. What happened to Richey, and what led to a moment that has ascended into the folklore of rock and roll?
