In what was heralded as a ground breaking move for the discipline, the 2019 IAAF World Cross Country Championships were staged in the grounds of a museum in the Danish town of Aarhus. With mud, water, sand and a horde of Vikings this was billed as a new era for the historic Cross Country Championship which had seen declining interest, particularly in Europe in recent years. DTT’s roving reporter Lisa Verstraten was on hand in Aarhus to provide a number of pre and post races interviews with Team Australia, capturing the nerves, anticipation, excitement and elation of the event.
