Episode 14 - Ben Pecorari of WANTS/NEEDS

from Love Is The Author · host Jaymee Carpenter

After surviving crippling illness at birth, an emotionally disturbed violent alcoholic father in his youth, a bi-polar diagnosis at 13 that had him experimented on with every psych med and therapist on the market for nearly 20 years, Ben Pecorari at 26 years of age sought out spiritual mentorship sessions with Jaymee in the summer of 2021, keeping one secret to himself... he was going to commit suicide if Jaymee couldn't help. It's a year later, and Ben not only wants to live, but he LOVES LIFE passionately EVERYDAY and is ready to give back to the 805. Through their time in mentorship sessions, Ben had a vision of creating a community art collective in downtown Ventura, CA focusing on tattoo culture, spirituality, food, that would also double as an all ages music venue. After a dedicated year of processing core traumas and finding his purpose in sessions with Jaymee, Ben's dream has become a reality, now having signed a lease on a beautiful space on Main Street in downtown Ventura the day before this podcast was recorded. "WANTS/NEEDS: Community Art Collective" is coming to downtown Ventura, CA in December 2022. This podcast was recorded as Ben and Jaymee's final mentorship session to commemorate their year together of healing work, to celebrate Ben's newfound joy and freedom, and to share the most Hunter S. Thompson-ish crazy life story this podcast has ever featured. This episode is sure to be a new favorite. Get ready to have your mind blown of what is possible within healing utilizing presence and emotional intelligence, and look out for the grand opening of "WANTS/NEEDS" this December.
