from Floyd Memorial Library Podcast · host Floyd Memorial Library Podcast
Today on the podcast, I’m joined by Angela De Vito, a lifelong advocate for working people and the North Fork community. Angela’s story begins with her family’s move from Greenwich Village out to Rocky Point, and from there her path has taken her all over the country, from Chicago to Utah to Boston, before coming back home to South Jamesport. Along the way, she’s worked at the intersection of labor rights, public health, and civic life, from advancing workplace protections and training programs to serving on school and community boards, and even running for Riverhead Town Supervisor. In our conversation, Angela reflects on the values that have guided her, the challenges and victories of public service, and her hopes for the future of Riverhead and the North Fork.
