EPISODE 17 - THERMAL WATER POLLUTION - CENTRAL EUROPE (Poland)

Ecological crisis in a Polish lake! An increase in water temperature is making the lake dangerous for the local fish population. The MeteoHeroes must identify and solve the problem – before the local fisherman are forced to abandon their village and leave the lake forever. Thermo and Ventum are dispatched via Jet Stream to investigate... They discover that the cool lake water is being used to keep Dr. Makina’s nearby Thermal Power plant from overheating, then pumped back into the lake at a significantly higher temperature. At this heat-level there isn’t enough dissolved oxygen in the lake water for the fish to breathe – which puts the local fish population in real danger of completely dying out. Springing into heroic action, the MeteoHeroes face off against the Maculans who are trying to stop them and successfully shut the power plant down. The fish are saved and the fishermen won’t have to abandon their home after all.
