Summary
In this episode Noelle, Annie, Alisha, and Stacy discuss Holy Week. We are missing Lauren but have Alisha's sweet baby cooing in the background. During this episode we discuss what Holy Week means to us, we reflect on how Holy Week and Mass in general has been different for many of us over the past year, and we suggest some practical ways to go deeper into Holy Week. We hope you enjoy and always look forward to hearing your thoughts. An Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

#63 - Not All Catholics are Roman Catholic
Release Date: 09/04/2023
Description: Many people (particularly Protestants) refer to the Catholic Church and Catholics as “Roman Catholic.” As Justin Hibbard explains in this episode doing so is a misnomer because it excludes 17 million Catholics who are part of the Eastern Catholic Churches. In continuation on our series on One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, we look at the 6 rites and 24 sui juris churches that make up the Catholic Church.Subscribe to Why Catholic? wherever you get your podcasts.Check out the Why Catholic Etsy shop (all proceeds support this podcast).Become a free subscriber or a patron of Why Catholic? and get the next episode and a discount code to the Why Catholic Etsy shop in your email inbox.Follow Why Catholic on Instagram.Subscribe to Why Catholic on YouTubeLike what you hear? Release Date: 10/17/2023
Description: In this episode of "The Vatican Briefing," Vatican experts Joshua McElwee and Christopher White interview one of the 13 members of the committee expected to draft the hotly anticipated final document from Pope Francis' ongoing summit on the future of the Catholic Church. Australian Bishop Shane Mackinlay, elected by his peers to be part of the Synod of Bishops' Commission for the Synthesis Report, expresses openness to ordaining women as Catholic deacons.
