If they have that when they are little, they will grow to understand that there are trusted adults out there and we as parents should be one of those trusted adults.That will create a solid foundation of identity development.-Help them define emotions.-Meet them where they are at.-Identify emotions. Don’t be scared of the emotions, go deep with them.-Continue to show they are safe and your love is unconditional.We only have to do it well 40% of the time. Accept ownership when we mess up the other 60% of the time. Apologize for the incorrect response to them.
