Episode 19 - Cody Montgomery of "TOTALLY BLOWN"

Cody Montgomery is the brainchild and designer behind TOTALLY BLOWN, a clothing company that makes distressed clothing using shotguns in Joshua Tree, CA. Cody uses the shotgun as a tool to create beautiful and complex clothing that blurs the lines between contemporary art, contemporary fashion, and social activism. This unique approach creates intensely charged objects that are usable, aesthetically original, and address issues related to gun use and gun violence. Cody was raised on a farm in Fairfield, Iowa by parents who have been deeply involved in the Transcendental Meditation movement since the mid 1970's. TOTALLY BLOWN was conceived and launched in 2013, and within it's first year was being sold in Urban Outfitters, and has since collaborated with Amiri and  been featured in Vogue.
