Episode 19: Shining Light On Doom

from Woo As Fuck

Episode Notes Hello and welcome today’s especially powerful episode where Megan and I discuss what we’ve been avoiding, how we’re facing it and the ways in which we anticipate doing so will impact our future. Today’s episode is all about learning how to face the things we’ve been putting off… you know that storage unit you’ve paid for for the last five years and never stepped foot in. That closet you’ve never cleaned out. That oil change you still need to get done… We speak in detail about what it’s like to face the things we’ve been avoiding, how it feels and why we avoid them in the first place. Going a level deeper we see we put things off (oftentimes) to avoid negative emotions of fear, shame and guilt at the “shoulds” we place on ourselves. Spoiler alert, it probably isn’t about the thing you’re NOT doing, you’re more likely avoiding a deep seeded feeling that’s triggering as Fu*K. Time to face those feelings and clean out that storage unit. It will feel soooo good. We promise! We also go into detail about the future timelines we are anchoring in for ourselves and why visualizing your future self while still being grounded in the now is pivotal in stepping foot onto your highest timeline, and manifesting all that you desire into your lived experience. Today’s tool for your toolbox is making a “Looming Dooms list”, specifically writing down everything you’ve been putting off or avoiding and then having that list available for when you’re feeling like your cup is full and you have energy to get things done, there’s no hurry to finish all of it, just check things off one by one and take note of how much easier the actual thing was than you anticipated. We also did a timeline exercise and encouraged you to do the same: imagine your highest most desirable timeline one year from now. Then make a short clip or write a letter to yourself detailing what your world looks like. What have you manifested? What desires have come to fruition? Depending on who you are and what your primary manifestation tools are this will look different for everyone, Megan‘s example was general and feeling-based where as mine was detailed and manifestation-based. There is no right or wrong way to do this work! Do what feels best for you.
