New Orleans born bassist and vocalist Annie Clements is well known for her work backing up artists like Maren Morris, Sugarland, Amos Lee with her rhythmic bass playing and top notch harmonies. A well rounded musician, Annie lights up any stage she steps onto with her warmth, energy and love of music. On a recent run of Maren Morris shows in support of The Chicks, Annie stopped by the Low End Nation studio to talk life as a side-woman, the ins and outs of being on the road, building and maintaining a successful career in music, her gear for Maren's tour and her and husband Thad Beatty's newest creation "The Bass of the Future." Annie also discusses her very unique experience of touring while pregnant and being a side woman touring this year with two young children at home.
