Our 2023 Festival of Concerts boasts a robust schedule of 50+ concerts of vital, compelling music-making in the unique Heifetz style, from the flagship Stars of Tomorrow and the rollicking Heifetz Hootenannies to the masterful Celebrity Series and Sunday Matinees, presented in venues across Staunton and throughout the Shenandoah Valley. Tickets & Info Learn why Alasdair Fraser has been called The Michael Jordan of Scottish Fiddling, and how the Scottish fiddler came to team up with the California cellist Natalie Haas. Alasdair and Natalie’s Gaelic-flavored tunes have been part of Heifetz Hootenannies from the jump, and we’re thrilled to announce that the groundbreaking duo will be in residence at the 2023 Heifetz Summer Institute!  Welcome to the Rachmaninoff Year!  Segei Rachmaninoff famously said “Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music.”  Well, 2023 is a big year to celebrate the Russian-born composer’s lifetime of music, as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of his birth.  And we’ll be joining in the worldwide festivities ourselves, highlighted by our July 9 Celebrity Series concert that will feature Rachmaninoff performances by cellist Amit Peled, violinist Kyung Sun Lee, and soprano – and Heifetz Institute audience favorite – Angel Azzarra.
