Inspired by Al Pacino and Robert De Niro becoming fathers with significantly younger women, and of course, the serial under 25 dater Mr DiCaprio himself, this episode looks at the juxtaposition around 20+ year age gaps; societies are increasingly progressive with their views about how love presents itself, and yet, significant age gaps in relationships still carry a taboo and often face backlash. We talk about the reasons why some might choose to date significantly younger, the different treatment women and men receive whilst dating older/younger partners, and why some might be uncomfortable with the concept of May-December relationships. We also discuss where the line is between age gaps being pro-choice, vs being a by-product of patriarchy teaching us that a woman's value lies in her youth, ovaries and beauty. Lots to jump into!
