Episode 32 - Herbert Hoover

Herbert Hoover was born on August 10, 1874 in West Branch, IA, and he was the 31st President of the United States. Both of his parents died by the time he was 9 years old, and he grew up with his uncle in Oregon. He was in the first freshman class at Stanford University, and he is the only POTUS who is an engineer by education. He became wealthy in the mining industry, and he never ran for elected office until he ran for POTUS in 1928.
