History has seen its fair share of scandals within schools, particularly religion based schools for centuries, with the first reported between 1620-1680. The Legacy Christian Academy, formerly known as the Christian Centre Academy, appears to be the latest scandal in Canadian History. Former students have come forward with allegations of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse by teachers and staff. These allegations have led to criminal complaints and a class-action lawsuit seeking $25 million in damages. With authorities unable to track down the man at the base of these allegations, who literally created the quote unquote “curriculum” leading to abuses and atrocities at the school, this tale from the Chesterfield currently has no actual conclusion and everything we talk about today has not been proven in a court of law.
