Today I speak with CQ - Disabled Veteran turned Comedian turned Pop Culture Radio Show Host. CQ and I discuss the many faces of PTSD. As part of the tip of the spear, CQ was serving 2 combat tours before being wounded in Afghanistan in 2005. When the metal met the meat (shot 5 times) CQ's life changed forever. He struggled for years with PTSD before starting to work with non-profit organizations and charities. In 2016 CQ stumbled into a comedy course as part of the Army's rehabilitation efforts, and the rest is history. CQ has performed in legendary places like DC Improv and Gotham NYC and earlier this year started “Pop Culture Warrior” on the WTF Nation Radio station. CQ's 3 key suggestions: 1. Tragic things happen in our lives but they don’t have to define who you are 2. Bring some positivity into the world 3. Say yes to as many experiences as you can.
