Years before, he posted a ‘Warning' video and told a leader at the town’s mosque that he received a message “from above” that he wanted to share. Espen was undoubtedly inspired by terrorist propaganda, as well as having a mental illness. Hear why these two factors aren’t mutually exclusive. The UK terrorist, Ali Harbi Ali, 25, a British citizen of Somali descent, linked to Islamist extremists, confessed to stabbing well-respected MP David Amess to death. Ali, a lone wolf terrorist who is believed to have been radicalized recently online, may have been influenced by the Somali terrorist group Al-Shabab.
