Episode #40 - Jackopierce

from Bothering the Band · host We ask our favorite musicians super silly questions.

Getting to bother Jack O'Neill and Cary Pierce, the "Jack O" and "Pierce" who make up the seminal duo Jackopierce, was a long time coming. Our host was introduced to their tunes in high school from his friend Mark Hill, so this episode is important. Jackopierce are celebrating 30 years of making music that has amassed a loyal following of millions of fans across the globe. They have shared the stage with John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Matchbox20, Counting Crows, The Wallflowers, Sheryl Crow, Toad the Wet Sprocket - to name a few. Their new EP, The Dalhattan Project, Vol, which was named so because Jack lives in NYC and Cary lives in Dallas, was released this year and continues the harmonies which have made Jackopierce a totem in the music life of so many, including our wayward host. Aside from all that, this episode is just hilarious, touching on topics such as eating apples, tuxedo shirts, baseball, what it means when someone says next Tuesday, undershirts, white Christmas trees and so much more! Really, these guys should have their own podcast.
