Episode #40: Kalina Larsen

from Flying Intuition · host Jeremy Fleck

It's time for another week of great content on Flying Intuition. In this episode you'll find a really genuine conversation with a super fun person. Kalina and I met this past spring semester through a mutual friend and have connected through science since then. In the few times I've gotten to hang with her, it's always been a good time, with the conversation flowing like some syrup just heated up in the microwave;) If you listen to this one it's obvious that even when recorded, the conversation vibes are still immaculate. Perhaps it's because we both have some experience with student radio. Or we just both really like to talk. We'll let you decide for yourself. This is Kalina Larsen.

Within sports today, data analytics is taking over. However, human decision making still plays a valuable role in development and gameplay, and combining this intuition with data-driven insights leads to better results. The question is... what's the sweet spot? Jake is a sports performance coach and former NCAA pitcher. Mark manages growth strategy for a startup and is an ex-Goldman Sachs quant and former NCAA rower.
