  • Relatively Speaking Podcast Episode 109

    08/17/2017

On today's edition of the Relatively Speaking Podcast, it is magically Major League Baseball heavy. Before professional slapstick is discussed, however, the guys discuss coffee pots and gas stoves. Important stuff in our humble opinion. Jared and Joseph also talk Barry Bonds being the goat and how the Miami Marlins should not trade the only player worth watching in that entire state. It wouldn't be a Relatively Speaking Podcast if the guys didn't also discuss Kristaps Porzingis apparently not being on the trading block. While the New York Knicks often New York Knick the heck out of stuff, this isn't one of them. Finally, it is probably worth mentioning this is the last edition of the Relatively Speaking Podcast as you know it. Joseph says a goodbye and thanks everyone for his chance to barely speak works and incoherently form sentences. The show ends with Absurd Questions. ?

  • Relatively Speaking Podcast Episode 102

    07/24/2017

The Relatively Speaking Podcast returns with the fury of 1,000 suns. It also returns just in time to discuss the latest happenings in the world of sports. If you want to have a good time and also gain insight, there isn't a better place to do it than by listening to the Relatively Speaking Podcast. For the first time in a long time, the podcast does not start on the morbid side. Instead, we find out that Jared is sick as a dog and that Joseph likes his new lawnmower so much that he cut his grass twice this weekend. Really riveting and important stuff, to be honest. As for actual things talked about on the Relatively Speaking Podcast: Kyrie Irving has reportedly asked for a trade.Should the Cleveland Cavaliers oblige? Is Irving a number-one type of talent? What does this mean for LeBron James? What is a reasonable offer for Kyrie Irving?Should the New York Knicks pull the trigger on this? Then it is off to fan favorite segment, Things On Our Mind, where Joseph discusses Law & Order without regard for the human spirit. Jared hates the franchise for some reason. Absurd Questions closes this edition of the podcast. Jared asks about what college alumni team would win The Basketball Tournament.Joseph wants to know what we want to hear (your) God say to us when/if we get to heaven. You can follow Jared on Twitter over at this place @JMintzHoops. Joseph is on those same mean streets @JosephNardone.

  • Relatively Speaking Podcast Episode 101

    07/21/2017

?The Relatively Speaking Podcast is now officially 101 episodes deep. If you had a time machine, traveled back to the very first show, there is no doubt you saw this coming. In fact, you can ask anybody about the first edition of the Relatively Speaking Podcast, and you know what they would tell you? "This is for sure going to last at least 101 episodes." Facts only. First thing is first, we want to thank again Matt Moore for being our guest on the 100th episode of the show. He was great. However, because we had him on to talk life after death and the NBA, we were unable to do a fancy celebration episode. For regular fans, think of this edition of the Relatively Speaking Podcast as one where we look back on our best moments and workshop some ideas -- as well as ask you guys for more feedback as to what you like and hate about the show. For new listeners, consider this your soft welcome to the show. We explain some of the inside jokes, how we got here, and the general origin story of this entire debacle that is certainly the greatest (barely about) sports podcast on the planet. The show does end with its usual Friday AMA segment. No matter who you are or what you do, this is an edition of the show you can tell your grandchildren about in a decade... or something. Thanks to all for listening. Here is to 101 more episodes and 2,034,343 more bad dad jokes! You can follow Jared on Twitter @JMintzHoops. The other loser is over yonder @JosephNardone.

It also affords us the opportunity to connect with readers, aspiring photographers, and learn a thing or two from our guests.
