Episode 5: Being Full Of Yourself with Prarthana Rao
from 'Do Your Thing' with Tamsin Williamson
This episode of Do Your Thing is another wonderful one from my Instagram live archives. And I’m bringing you a beautiful and energising conversation that I had with Prathana Rao who is a Mum of 2 girls, a fellow coach and mentor for Mums and the proud founder of The Maverick Mum™ Movement. Through her work Prarthana empowers mothers to discover their inner strength, reignite their passions and connect with their true purpose so they can lead a truly beautiful life. And in this episode we talked all about falling truly, madly, deeply and unapologetically in love… with YOURSELF as a way of ‘doing your thing’ in life and Motherhood. Self love is one of those subjects that is discussed all the time – and yet when it comes to Motherhood it can feel so very out of reach as we channel so much of our love into our kids and families. But this conversation really highlights how there IS another way to approach self-love which will mean we CAN enjoy the experience of motherhood and womanhood in the way we deserve. During this conversation we talked about…- Why loving ourselves can feel like such an uncomfortable and alien concept to us, especially as Mums- The notion of ‘filling your cup’ and why we need to aspire to be ‘full of ourselves’ for both our own happiness, and the future happiness of our kids- The stark difference between self care and self love which is so often confused(NB: please excuse a few recording and sound imperfections on this episode, part of which was originally recorded as an Instagram live rather than using a professional podcast setup. I've managed to let it go - so I hope you can too! ;-) )GUEST INFORMATION: Find out more about Prarthana's work at https://prarthanarao.comFollow Prarthana on Instagram - https://instagram.com/prarthanatterDownload her FREE Self Love Meditation - https://www.prarthanarao.com/self-love-meditation Join 'Honouring You', Prarthana's brand new emotional wellbeing membership designed for mums who are ready to step into their juiciest expression - https://www.prarthanarao.com/honouring-you-membership ABOUT YOUR HOST, TAMSIN WILLIAMSON (The Parenthood Coach):Find out more about me and my coaching work - https://theparenthoodcoach.co.ukFollow me over on Instagram - https://instagram.com/theparenthoodcoachJoin my email community - The Parenthood Retreat - https://theparenthoodcoach.co.uk/newsletterWelcome to Do Your Thing - a bold, beautiful celebration of modern Motherhood, on YOUR terms.Hosted by Tamsin Williamson, The Identity & Self-Leadership Coach for Ambitious Women Ready To Redefine Life Beyond Motherhood.Every week, join me for open and unfiltered conversations with awe-inspiring women (who also happen to be mothers) about how they do their thing - in life, work and everything in between.Together, let’s throw out the rule book, shed expectations and shine a light on just how varied and vibrant modern motherhood can be.
