Episode 5 | "Humble Beginnings" (with JB Smoove, Rob Stapleton & Talent)

On this week's episode of Kin Of Comedy, Jerrica, Dante, and Talent Jr. are joined by their fathers and world-famous comedians JB Smoove, Rob Stapleton, and Talent Sr. The fathers kick things off by talking about how they all met (3:05). They then dive into Def Comedy Jam and how Russell Simmons' leadership took comedy (19:13) to another level before discussing the New York City comedy scene in the 1990s and 2000s (23:55). Next, they all talk about when they quit their jobs to pursue comedy full time (31:49). Out of the blue come a few hilarious stories about Tracy Morgan (41:33) and Faceman (43:54) before Talent Jr. asks the elder statesmen about their first times performing on stage (45:38).
