There’s no doubt that the Cecil the lion catastrophe of 2015 has had the most negative impact on hunting in my life time. It looked like we were headed for a similar situation with the recent legal Zimbabwe hunt of “Mopane” the lion. However, SCI worked quickly to diffuse the situation and get the facts out before it snowballed out of control. SCI’s Director of Government Affairs Ben Cassidy makes his return to the show to discuss how SCI was able to squash this story by getting the facts out there.
