Episode 75: An Indie Summer

from Randomer Nintendo · host Random Nintendo

The hot months of summer are normally a quiet period for game releases, but this year, indies are claiming the season as their own. In this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast, we share impressions of two major indie releases on the eShop, Fuzzy Wuzzy Games’ Armillo and Yacht Club Games’ Shovel Knight, as well as the Wii U edition of Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark. Of course, just because summer doesn’t typically see a lot of releases doesn’t mean the news cycle stops. Quite the opposite, in fact, as we also cover the latest on Nintendo’s big Fall titles, the first fully streaming 3DS game, and the controversy surrounding Mighty No. 9’s new crowdfunding campaign. Plus, we weigh in on the Diddy Kong Racing 2 rumors that are almost too good to be true. What’s your favorite indie release of the summer? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
