Summary

Welcome to Episode 8 of Wonderful Writers, a podcast dedicated to sharing some of our favourite authors and their wonderful books! This week, Alice wishes to tell people why they should read Martha Waters, an author who debuted with her first historical romance in 2020. Waters is one of Alice's auto-buy authors, someone she admires greatly, whose debut novel got her through the UK's first lockdown. In between gushing about how amazing Waters is, she and Anne discuss the books, the characters, their covers, the possible title choices for future books (before realising after recording that Waters' 3rd book title has already been published!) and, as always, there is helpless giggling & some fan-casting for any future film adaptations!  We hope that you enjoy this episode, if you would like to talk to us about books, you can email us at wonderfulwriterspodcast@gmail.com or DM us at our Instagram pages - Alice - @bookskindleandmorebooks Anne - @alwayslovereviews Episode may contain MINOR spoilers of Martha Waters' novels. Even writers go to the movies. And sometimes, when the movie is really, really, good (or really, really bad), they write about them. In this very special edition of Desert Island Flicks, five writers will share their favourite films and the work these films have inspired. Taking the concept of the Top Five film list and turning it on its head, ACMI and the Emerging Writers' Festival are sending not one but five castaways to the desert island. Once stranded with nothing but their favourite films, these writers will need to choose their number one favourite film of all time. The writers will then spend a lively evening discussing why these stories mean so much to them and exploring their own works that these films have inspired. Co-presented by ACMI and the Emerging Writers' Festival. Recorded on 3/5/2014
