Episode 8: You Might Be A Victim of Emotional Abuse

from The NAKED Boost w/ Alex Okoroji · host Alex Okoroji

For you to have success in your professional life, you have to fix what's going on in your private life. You can't ignore the emotional wounds you have and still expect to win...surely, you can try, but it won't make the journey easy, carrying all that baggage. The new year is around the corner and part of reinventing yourself is walking through the path of "Self Reflection" to ensure you have addressed all issues that might have left you broken. 🤷‍♀ I know its deep work that needs to be done and sometimes the emotions we might confront, we may not like or be ready for...but is necessary for others to make progress. In this week's episode of The NAKED Boost, I talk about Emotional Abuse and how you too might be a victim... This is one of the forms of abuse that we DO NOT easily identify...we can miss it...or make excuses for the same people who break our confidence and stir our doubts. It takes a lot of self-awareness and SELF VALUE to come to a place where you really think about what emotional abuse truly is and how it can be present - even in the most subtle ways without you realising it. Self-reflection may be a difficult exercise, the emotions we unlock may be uncomfortable, but we still have to go through it....to get to the other side of our authentic best - The path where truth, healing and freedom lies...  For Truth leads to Freedom and Freedom leads to Greatness.
