I could easily some this up as an issue with priorities and it is. But how can performers re-prioritize and still survive? We have jobs, we have families. It's simple. Use your Have-To. Chet Steadman sums it up nicely in Rookie of the year but my version is a bit easier to understand. You have to treat your dreams as if it's something you “Have-To” do. If you woke up tomorrow and you were only allowed to use your performance, your talent to survive and support yourself and your family, would it change your thinking? What would you do differently with your time? You always make time for the things you have to do. Make your dreams one of those things.
