Episode 99: So No One Came to Your Performance Huh?
from The Being On Stage Podcast · host Reggie Daughson
Sometimes you have to look at where you have been in order to appreciate where you are. It is so easy to get wrapped up in the drama of the business. More people, More viewers, more followers, more ticket sales, more, more, more. That’s the nature of any type of show business. The interesting piece of this is we often put this pressure on ourselves. We have such a desire for more that when we don’t get more we are disappointed, sometimes to the point of giving up. Stop ignoring your previous success. So what you only got 1 extra follower, so what you didn’t sell out a show. Think back to when you had to beg people to come see a free show. Seriously take a hard look at your journey. Don’t you have so much to be grateful for? The pressure and expectations we place on ourselves can be detrimental to our career and our passion. Stay the course, keep going. Treasure EVERY audience member, every follower, every subscriber, every moment that you get to be on that stage.
