Facebook en Instagram verwijderen berichten over abortuspillen, meldt persbureau AP. Dat zou ermee te maken hebben dat vrijdag het landelijk recht op abortus in Amerika is afgeschaft door het hooggerechtshof. Gebruikers bieden op de platforms aan om abortuspillen op te sturen naar mensen die daardoor geen abortus meer kunnen uitvoeren. Een journalist besloot het te testen en plaatste een bericht op Facebook waarin hij abortuspillen aanbood, dat bericht werd binnen een minuut verwijderd. Toen hij in een ander bericht het woord 'abortuspil' verving door 'wapen' werd het niet gelijk verwijderd.
