By 2009, Walid’s ambitions turned deadly. He sexually assaulted and brutally murdered his aunt, Sabra, in an attempt to take full control of the business, then set her apartment on fire to cover up the crime. His plan failed when investigators traced the crime back to him, leading to his arrest and eventual death sentence.
