Fantasy Awards and Week 18 Preview

from 25 Yards Later · host Nick Luciano

Welcome to 25 Yards Later, Sports Obsessive and Rumination Radio Network’s fantasy football podcast! It's Week 18, and while the vast majority of fantasy leagues have wrapped up their seasons (including our two hosts, who each secured championships last week), we're still here to wrap up the 2021 season and make sure that anyone that still has a championship to come is ready with previews breaking down the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, and Indianapolis Colts. It's also our last weekly podcast for a while, so we will see you all again in February. After a news rundown (and yes, we talk Antonio Brown), Nick and Allijah hand out their awards, including fantasy MVP, championship performance of the year, and waiver wire pickup of the year. Most of the segment is devoted to compiling our All-Fantasy team, with our intrepid hosts recognizing some of the top fantasy performers of the year. There are some no-brainers like Cooper Kupp and Jonathan Taylor, but other spots were much more hotly contested---and maybe even controversial! Why is Nick suddenly so into the Bengals? Were Derrick Henry's eight weeks enough to land him on the All-Fantasy team by themselves? Is Zay Jones actually good? Is Michael Pittman a player that you can trust, even against a hapless Jaguars team? Which obscure wide-receiver has impressed in the wake of Antonio Brown's departure? Which surprising running back is not only the RB1 since Week 14, but has also caught Allijah's eye? Find out the answers to these questions and more in this week's episode of the 25 Yards Later Fantasy Football Podcast! Follow us on Twitter @25YLFF, @nickgluciano, and @allijahmotika. You can listen to 25 Yards Later on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Breaker, Pocket Casts, and RadioPublic. Be sure to head over to Ruminations Radio Network for more great podcasts and Sports Obsessive for all things fantasy football, wrestling, and the NFL.
