Farmers are losing grip of their land - Davitt

A former chair of the Sligo branch of the IFA says farmers are losing grip of their land. Farmers in Sligo and Leitrim staging protests this morning as part of The 'Enough is Enough' campaign, which centres around the fact that farmers are angry with 'increased regulation, reduced supports, and falling incomes'. The demonstrations are taking place outside the offices of Sligo County Council and the Kinlough Community centre, where the meeting of Leitrim County Council is due to be held. It follows farmers across Cork descending on Cork Airport on Monday morning to vent their frustrations with policy. Speaking outside the offices of Sligo County Council this morning Eddie Davit says nobody seems to be responsible for anything anymore;
