Feasibility study called for Claremorris to Sligo rail link

Calls have been made for a feasibility study into the Claremorris to Sligo rail link by a North West MEP.This comes as the European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development visited Connacht to see projects seeking funding.In terms of the Western Rail Corridor, there is support to extend the line from Athenry into Claremorris, although more is being sought to connect the North West.Independent Ireland MEP Ciaran Mullooly says it would be ridiculous to not consider connecting the line to Sligo:
