The year is 1936, in this opening episode, the listeners are introduced to American Heartland Radio. As a nation that remained neutral in the Weltkrieg, Americans are less concerns with the happenings of Asia and Europe, and more with their own troubles at home: The Great Depression and dust bowl continue to ravage the American Great Plains. Syndicalism spreads out across the country from the Red Belt and Chicago.  Huey Long's ideology claims the south, and a gridlocked congress is unable to make any progress.  America's unity hangs by a thread as it slowly recovers from the Great Depression, but what will happens when the world's economy also takes a dive, forcing the American economy to crash once more. It is February 3rd, 1936...
