from Did I Do That?

Spring break nears its end (just in time for spring in Portland to actually begin), but not without a feed drop from our friends at AIGA! This special episode of the AIGA Design Podcasts feed features past guest and Director of Design Content & Learning at AIGA Lee-Sean Huang in conversation with the incredible Anne H. Berry, Jennifer Rittner, and Kelly Walters about their book The Black Experience in Design: Identity, Expression & Reflection as part of the the 2022 AIGA Design Conference in Seattle. The Black Experience in Design is an anthology centering a range of perspectives, spotlights teaching practices, research, stories, and conversations from a Black/African diasporic lens. Through the voices represented, this text exemplifies the inherently collaborative and multidisciplinary nature of design, providing access to ideas and topics for a variety of audiences, meeting people as they are and wherever they are in their knowledge about design. This panel, featuring some of the book's editors, reflects on the process of publishing the book, and highlights some of the themes contained within the perspectives and stories within. The panel is fantastic, and I'd highly recommend picking up a copy of the book from the Black Experience in Design website, directly from Skyhorse Publishing, or wherever you find books!Special thanks to AIGA and Lee-Sean Huang for this feed drop—go check out and subscribe to the AIGA Design Podcasts feed, and go check out some what'll be happening as part of the 2023 AIGA Design Conference to be held in NEW YORK CITY?!If you're listening to this on the day it comes out and you're in the Portland metro area, please come pay my students a visit at Be Honest, our humongous student portfolio showcase event at Wieden+Kennedy! We specialize in unpacking the nuances of what is considered sacred and profane, particularly focusing on sex, death, and all that pertains to the circle of life. Our aim in focusing on such ”taboo” subject matter is to demystify what is unconscious, bring to light what has been known for centuries as ”the occult,” and empower the rapid transformation that is occurring on the Planet. Explicit Křemíkové nebe Jura Ibl, Filip Brož Novinář Filip Brož a analytik Jura Ibl rozebírají svět technologických firem. Kam běží zajíc, kdo je hlavní hlava a kdo už míří do křemíkového nebe?
