SCHECHTER'S WORK Think Away Your Pain Works with patients who's problems are often mostly in their heads David Schechter teaches people how to deal with often psychosomatically dealt pain He also will work with structural problems If it is a mechanical problem, the pain is often corporal as opposed to mental His focus is TMS -- brain stimulation PAIN AND HOW IT EFFECTS US Although Vinnie's pain is mechanical, the brain makes it worse in times of stress and worry The brain amplifies and localizes pain Once you get into a mindset of chronic pain, it can be hard to get rid of Getting rid of mental pain can take longer, but can be a real fix, whereas a shot of cortisone or something similar is just a bandaid Adrenaline allows people to push themselves Often the pain is real, but it is not specific to one place because it is in the brain Ultra racing & pain Exhaustion appears often as pain, hits you one place, if you beat it mentally, it will move around
