Financial Fridays: Mindset and Money Tips from Coach Colette and Sukhtej Singh
from Start Within w/Coach Colette · host Coach Colette Ellis
Have you heard the phrase: once in a blue moon? There will be a blue moon on October 31, Halloween night. Tomorrow's Full Moon is also considered both the Harvest Moon because it appears nearest to the Fall Equinox, as well as the Hunter's Moon. The full moon is a great time for releasing things that no longer serve you. What do you wish to release? The Halloween tradition is typically about trick or treating. Since 2020 has been nothing but tricks, why not focus on the treats. What are some ways that you can treat yourself this weekend? Perhaps include some pumpkin in your self-care routine to stay on the theme! Have you made your plans to vote? In this week’s Unplugged segment, Coach Colette talks about her experience of early voting. Did you know that there are still discriminatory policies like voter I.D. laws, cuts to early voting, polling place closures, and limits to pre-registration? Most of the policies impact marginalized communities; whether that be people of color, people who have been formerly incarcerated, or other marginalized groups. This election is important, so make sure you stay informed and involved. At the same time, ensure that you balance how much news you are watching because over-consumption can affect your mental health and wellbeing.
