Or...A Boring Movie With an Interesting Scandal! Welcome to our first Fireside Chat! The girls sit down to talk about a scandal in the Hallmark world. Well, in the real world, and one that Hallmark apparently isn't going to acknowledge. For those of you who are only here for the first time, on this podcast, we cover insipid delights like Hallmark movies, rom-coms, Christmas Specials, reality TV, and anything ridiculous and fun we feel like covering. Our first order of business was covering the 2023 Countdown to Christmas, and that included a movie called "HOLIDAY ROAD." In our episode we well-established that the movie itself was pretty meh, but we were totally bewildered by the fact that it said "inspired by true events," but then didn't say what the original source material was. For once, we even researched. Then, lo and behold, it turns out that Alanah Story had her story totally fecking ripped off and Hallmark didn't compensate her at all! Which is ridiculous.
