Friday, March 15, 2024- Ugh, vouchers & Jewish Americans vouching for ceasefire
from The Ron Show · host Ron Roberts
Georgia Republicans have been hell-bent on diverting taxpayer funds to give money to private school students' parents, and they're as close as ever before to getting their way. It's impossible to see how this is anything more than a subsidy for households who can already afford the tuition or how it benefits students from poor households or those with exceptional needs. We've seen how this goes elsewhere (and provide proof). I'm also joined by Dom Kelly, co-founder & CEO of New Disabled South, who weighs in on private schools being allowed to take public dollars soon while still discriminating without blowback. He and I also discuss the ongoing humanitarian criss in Gaza. As a Jewish American millennial, he's at odds with older Jewish Americans - his liberal grandmother included - in his opposition to Israel's continued aggression in Gaza (and the West Bank). Listen as we navigate that relationship and the complexities the Biden administration faces in keeping a fragile coalition together where it appears there's no way to make everyone happy with the result. BREAKING: Judge Scott McAfee renders a verdict on the Fulton DA disqualification attempt, giving Fani Willis the decision to either recuse herself and her entire office or have special prosecutor Nathan Wade step aside.
